For my Exhibition piece I am going to talk a little bit about my dance company called Retrograde Dance Company. This year the company members had the amazing opportunity to travel visit, and perform at thirteen different middle and elementary schools around Sonoma County in an anti bullying community outreach tour where we got to perform talk to and teach kids to dance. I wanted to share this experience with everyone through a video showing what we went through throughout this incredible journey. At the beginning of the video it shows more about us in the dance room or the theater working, teaching each other and coming up with choreography. We spent since the beginning of the school year on this assembly making sure that our choice in music and our choreography fit in well with the message we were trying to send that was Anti bulling. We also realized that we will be performing to five year olds and thirteen year olds, we ended up having to make two completely different dance shows making sure that the five year olds were entertained and still got the message of the show and that the thirteen year olds were't bored and understood what we were trying to show. As you keep watching the video you'll see more clips of us traveling in the car to different schools and you'll also see some videos and pictures of the show and you'll see us at different schools teaching the kids some dance moves. This journey has made realize that I have a passion for teaching, I have always loved dance but having the opportunity to teach others especially kids that love learning was a dream come true. Having the kids come up to us and say "wow your so amazing" and "I want to dance just like you" really melts your heart. Getting the opportunity to say that you inspired all of these kids having them look up to us and want to start dancing because of us is one of my greatest accomplishments.
